FTC Disclosure Compliance Rules

Affiliate disclosure is the act of revealing that there’s an affiliate relationship between a company and publisher/blogger. It lets readers know if the blogger or content creator is actually making money by posting reviews, recommendations, or links to products on their blog or website.

The Federal Trade Commission currently requires all bloggers to disclose any financial ties in regards to any content they produce. This is to ensure that readers are fully aware of any potential bias and can make their own judgments about the information being presented.

If you’re an affiliate marketer, it’s important to be in compliance with FTC rules and regulations. This means clearly disclosing your relationship to any brands or products that you promote. You can do this by adding a disclosure statement at the beginning or end of your content, or by hyperlinking to a disclosure page on your website.

What are Affiliate Links?

Affiliate links are used by affiliates – marketers who sell products online. If you see information about a product or service on lookbroad.com, the link may be an affiliate link. Product Affiliate Links

So what are product affiliate links? Product affiliate links are simply links to products that have an affiliate program. An affiliate program is a way for companies to partner with other people (bloggers, website owners, etc.) and give them a commission for referring customers to their site.

If you click on one of these links and buy the product, then Look Broad will get a percentage of the sale. This is called affiliate marketing, and it’s a great way to make some extra money.

What about Sponsored Content?

Look Broad does not compose sponsored posts. The main aim of the site is to provide authentic, un-biased, and correct information. However, if it ever publishes sponsored content, sponsorship will be disclosed clearly at the beginning of the post.
